Since 2017, students pursuing pharmacy careers in the Central Valley have received generous support from The San Joaquin Community Foundation. For two decades the foundation has addressed disparities across San Joaquin County; its priorities include expanding health care access, advancing food security and investing in educational opportunities for diverse students.
At Pacific, the foundation endowed a scholarship for high achieving students from the region pursuing pharmacy degrees, with the goal of encouraging graduates to remain and practice in their home communities. The scholarship reflects the foundation’s commitment to strengthening the local health care workforce while expanding education access for students who will serve local patients. Beyond scholarships, the foundation has supported Pacific through investments in research, community engagement and student housing.
