Sinky Zheng
Dr. Zheng oversees the school’s portfolio of learning innovation initiatives and educational outcome data, and leads the design, delivery, and evaluation of faculty teaching development programs. She also holds a Professor of Learning Sciences appointment in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences. Sinky has 15 years of experience teaching face-to-face and online courses in educational methodologies to undergraduates, graduates, and faculty. She has been conducting research on online and digital learning, educational data science and faculty development. Her active research agenda has resulted in nearly 30 peer-reviewed publications and 45 national presentations in these areas.
Sinky received her BA and MA, both in Education, from East China Normal University in Shanghai. She obtained her PhD in Education, with a concentration on learning sciences and design, from North Carolina State University, U.S. A lifelong learner, she earned a Master of Applied Data Science degree from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2025.
