Summer Housing

Students who would like to sign up for Summer 2019 Housing can submit their requests through the Housing Portal on insidePacific beginning March 1, 2019. Housing is offered in select apartment communities only, as there are no meal plans offered in the summer, and students can use their apartment kitchens to prepare meals. The cost for summer housing is $750 per session.

Summer 2019 Sessions

  • Session I: May 13 - June 14, 2019  
  • Session II: June 17 - July 19, 2019
  • Session III: July 22 - August 23, 2019

Contract Termination may be made without penalty one week prior to the start of the summer session. For contracts terminated after the one week, there will be a $100 termination fee and it will be applied to the student's account.



Housing Options & Rates

  • Calaveras Hall: Available all sessions and will be filled first.
  • Townhouse Apartments and Chan Family Hall: Available to current residents, when space is needed, or by written request.

Housing prices are based on the length of a Summer School session.  The cost is $750 per session, 5 weeks.


Check-In and Check-Out for Summer Housing

Students who reside on-campus for the Spring 2019 and are attending Summer Session I will stay in their same room/building until May 17-18, 2019. Once students have vacated rooms designated for summer housing, we will clean the room and facilities before you are able to move into your summer assignment. Students who currently live off-campus (Spring 2019), must contact Residential Life & Housing to make arrangements for an early check-in. Students attending Session II and/or Session III will be able to move in the Sunday before the start of the respective session.


All check-in periods are between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM on the designated dates. All exceptions must be approved in writing by the Director for Housing Operations & Technology, or their designee. Any student who checks-in outside the approved check-in window without written permission will be subject to an additional charge.
The check-in dates and times for summer housing are as follows:

  • Session I: May 13 to June 14, 2019. Current Spring residents living on campus during Session I will stay in their same Spring 2019 assignment through May 17-18, 2019. Check-In: May 12; 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (for off-campus students); Check-Out: June 15 by 12:00 PM
  • Session II: June 17 to July 19, 2019. Check-In: June 16; 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM; Check-Out: July 21 by 12:00 PM.
  • Session III: July 22 to August 23, 2019. Check-In: July 21; 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM; Check-Out: August 17 by 12:00 PM move to Fall 2019 assignments; August 17 by 12:00 PM for students not on-campus for Fall 2019 (including Delta Gamma and Kappa Alpha Theta). Please NOTE: Session III is available under the following conditions:  a) students who will reside in university-owned residential facilities for the Fall 2019 Semester with the understanding they will be required to move into their Fall 2019 Housing assignment prior to the end of Session III; b) students who do not have housing (university-owned) for Fall 2019 will be required to move out of their summer assignment by 12:00 PM on August 17, 2019.
