The mission of the BLOCK conference is to connect, inspire and support local youth to engage and excel academically, promote responsibility, and improve self-efficacy. Ultimately, encouraging educational engagement leads to college as a realistic option for each youth. The target demographic of this conference is low-income, first generation, youth of color. The conference takes place on Pacific's campus where students spend a day engaged in various educational sessions regarding topics such as leadership, accountability, responsibility, social justice, and education itself. This year, the BLOCK Conference is scheduled for October 2.
