Facilitated by the Instructional Design Team and WC
Description:
Research indicates that students who see themselves as educational partners and co-creators are more likely to succeed academically, find meaning in their course work, build the self-efficacy necessary to persist to graduation, and develop the skills and expertise that will benefit them after college. This fall the Teaching and Learning Commons (comprised of CTL, The General Academic Tutoring Center, The Writing Center, and the Office of Academic Assessment) are partnering to introduce "Students as Partners in Teaching and Learning" as both a new initiative and shared way of thinking about teaching and learning at the University. The workshops below will introduce instructors to key aspects of this initiative.
