University of the Pacific will hold a news conference introducing the new head coach of men’s basketball Dave Smart, widely regarded as the most successful Canadian college basketball coach of all time.

The conference will include brief remarks from Smart, President Christopher Callahan and Director of Athletics Adam Tschuor followed by a reception.

Smart amassed 656 victories as head coach at Carleton University in Canada over 18 seasons. He comes to Pacific from Texas Tech where he served as assistant coach. Learn more about Smart's career.
