Fall 2019 Entering Class Information

Fall 2019 Entering Class Information

The Institutional Research office is posting fall 2019 new student admission information on the IR SharePoint Site. Go to the "Weekly application trends by college/school— Fall 2019" to view reports. The information will update weekly on Thursday mornings until the census closes in October. The cycle for collecting data varies; that is, new freshmen have deadlines for submitting applications earlier than transfer students. Thus, you will find more applications and data for new freshmen than transfer students.

You'll note that total application activity for fall 2019 is near fall 2017 levels and lower than 2018. In fall 2017 Pacific had 890 new freshmen enrolled, and 933 in fall 2018. You can access more historical enrollment information here.

Many processes have been streamlined to improve student admissions services and applicant yield. For example, a majority of financial aid packages will go out in January, months ahead of previous years. Over 1,100 awards went out in December prior to winter break. In addition, Enrollment Management will increase applicant yield events this year to five. In preparation, a new yield boot camp for marketing staff who support enrollment efforts in the academic units was held in December 2018.

If you have questions about these admissions reports, including access problems, please contact Yasmine Keen (ykeen@pacific.edu) in the IR office.
