Steve Jacobson

Steve Jacobson, senior associate vice president for Student Life, has been appointed interim vice president for Student Life effective Jan. 3 following the departure of Renee Barnett Terry. The search for a permanent vice president will begin Jan. 16.  

Joe Berthiaume

Joe Berthiaume has been selected as the new executive director for Residential Life and Housing, Housing and Dining Auxiliary. Berthiaume comes to Pacific from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, where he served for three years as director of Housing and Residence Life. He earned his PhD in higher education and administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Berthiaume brings deep knowledge and skills in fundraising, programming and team building to the new position. Known nationally for his creativity and affinity for working with diverse students, Berthiaume has established signature programs that model inclusivity and best practices for student engagement and retention. 

Dmitriy Myastkovetskiy is a new patrol officer in Public Safety on the San Francisco Campus.

Brian Quan is a new campus service officer in Public Safety on the Sacramento Campus.

Ines Ruiz-HustonInes Ruiz-Huston '10, Latinx Community Outreach coordinator, has been selected as the new director of Intercultural Student Success, effective Jan. 7. In this new role, she will oversee the Pride Resource Center, African American/Black Student Support and Success and Latinx Community Outreach. Ruiz-Huston joined Pacific in 2001 and has been a leader in promoting and enhancing diversity and inclusion at Pacific and in the community. She has held positions as director of the Community Involvement Program and Multicultural Affairs and was a founder of the Pride Resource Center and the Pacific ALANA (African, Latinx, Asian/Pacific Islander, Native American) Center. In recent years, she has helped facilitate the Stockton Labor Day Pow Wow and was instrumental in the founding of the Multicultural Greek Council. She has been recognized on numerous occasions for her leadership and advocacy in diversity and inclusion, including being selected as Latina Advocate of the Year (2016) and receiving the Freedom Fighter Award from the NAACP (2016). 

Joseph Robinson is a new public safety officer in Public Safety on the Stockton Campus.

Enrollment Management

Roberta KaskelRoberta Kaskel, interim vice president for Enrollment Management, has agreed to remain at Pacific through June 2021 to continue leadership of enrollment management operations. In light of her long-term commitment to Pacific, President Eibeck announced her title will be changed to vice president for Enrollment Management. The search for the next vice president for Enrollment Management will be resumed during the 2020-21 academic year.  

Academic Division

Corina Cato is a new coordinator in Academic Affairs on the San Francisco Campus.

Heesoo Oh has been named chair of the Department of Orthodontics in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Oh has been a member of the dental school faculty since 2005 and has served as program director of the Graduate Orthodontics Program since 2010. She brings extensive leadership, clinical expertise, interdisciplinary research, and other skills to her role. more ›  

Michael Snyder was promoted to assistant registrar for information access and reporting in the Office of the Registrar.

Business and Finance

Kellan Lamb is the new senior environmental health and safety technician in Enterprise Risk Management.

Pacific Technology

Ryan Curtis is a new technical support specialist I in Pacific Technology on the Sacramento Campus.

President's Division

Michelle McGuire is the new marketing coordinator for the School of Engineering and Computer Science in the Office of Marketing and Communications.
