Pacific has strong showing in Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education rankings for 2019

University of the Pacific made yet another strong showing in the third-annual rankings conducted by The Wall Street Journal and Times Higher Education coming in No. 120 among 968 institutions nationwide for 2019.

Pacific also sits at No. 18 among 145 institutions in the West. The rankings come after a strong rise in the university's latest Forbes' "America's Top Colleges" ranking.

Pacific placed highest for its environment (No. 87), with students indicating it's a diverse, supportive and inclusive place.

"This ranking helps to reinforce that we're moving in absolutely the right direction," said Pacific's President Pamela A. Eibeck. "By delivering programs that meet the needs of our students and our industry partners, we help students achieve success in the classroom and in the workforce."

The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education rankings include results from a survey of about 200,000 current students at 968 U.S. colleges and universities on their college experience, as well as a survey on academic reputation.
