Pacific launching search for vice president for enrollment management

Interim President Maria Pallavicini and President Designate Chris Callahan have agreed to launch a nationwide search for a permanent vice president for enrollment management for University of the Pacific. Roberta Kaskel, Pacific’s current vice president of enrollment management, will complete her contracted position in the next 18 months. To ensure continuity of leadership and a seamless transition for this essential area, Callahan and Pallavicini would like to have the permanent vice president in place by July 1, 2020, when Callahan arrives.

Ken Mullen, vice president for business and finance, will chair the search committee, which is being formed now. The search firm will be selected soon and candidate interviews are expected during the spring semester. Pallavicini and Callahan will select the finalist in alignment with the university’s policies.

While the search for Pacific’s new vice president is underway, Kaskel and her team—and the university community—remain intensely focused on yielding a strong fall 2020 entering class.
