The Pacifican, the student newspaper for University of the Pacific for more than a century, has shifted totally to online news coverage.

The Pacifican could not be printed and distributed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so staff members worked to adapt content to online. The digital Pacifican will be updated each week.

“After years on print, our team is proud to transition to an online format. We are grateful to have this opportunity to give you access to our content with more ease,” said editor in chief Malavika Raj ’21 in a note to readers. “The COVID-19 pandemic has also pushed us to great lengths. It has forced us to adapt to new circumstances and get very creative. Despite this, I am proud to say we have built a team of editors and staff writers who are committed to connecting with the Pacific community, highlighting the important issues, and seeking the truth.”

The Pacifican also has an active Instagram page.
