Engineering management major Camden Riley was named a semfinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy and is the West Coast Conference Player of the Year.

The United Soccer Coaches named men's soccer's senior midfielder Camden Riley '19 as a semifinalist for the 2018 MAC Hermann Trophy today. The MAC Hermann Trophy is presented to the most outstanding collegiate soccer player each season.

The MAC Hermann Trophy was first awarded in 1986 and has been awarded to the top male and female collegiate soccer players in the United States each year since. Past winners on the men's side include players that went on to careers with the U.S. Men's National Team players such as Jordan Morris, Darlington Nagbe, Claudio Reyna and Tony Meola. If Riley were to win, he'd be the first player in the West Coast Conference's history to take home the trophy.

This year's winners will be announced on Jan. 4, 2019 at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.

Riley was named as the West Coast Conference Player of the Year after leading the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament for the third-straight year. He scored five goals in the last six games of the year to help the Tigers secure a spot in the tournament, two of those were game-winners. In total, Riley scored nine goals and recorded five assists totaling 23 points with four game-winners. His 23 points were the most in a single-season since men's soccer returned to Pacific in 2014 and his nine goals tied the single-season record. He also tied the single-season record in game-winning goals. One of his game-winning goals this year came against California, which was No. 14 at the time. Against No. 11 Portland, he assisted on two of Pacific's three goals in the 3-2 victory.

The Dallas native was in the top-five in the WCC in goals, points, points per game, assists and game-winning goals. His efforts this season saw him take the career-lead at Pacific in points with 48, goals with 19, game-winning goals with six and move into second in assists with 10. Riley is one of only five players from mid-major institutions to be included. He is majoring in engineering management in the School of Engineering and Computer Science.
