Housing Selection for Current Students takes place between January and March for the following academic year.  Specific dates for Housing Selection for the 2021-2022 academic year will be posted in late Fall 2020.

To begin the Housing Selection process, all students must complete their Student Housing Agreement which is binding for the entire academic year.  The Student Housing Agreement becomes an executed contract once the student is assigned on-campus housing.

 

Student Housing Agreement

In January 2021, students will be able to access their Student Housing Agreement on the Housing Portal  Please turn off your browser's pop-up blocker.

  1. Sign in to InsidePacific with your PacificNet ID and password
  2. Select the 'Living' tab
  3. Click on the 'Enter the Housing Portal' link (located on the Residential Life & Housing channel)
  4. Choose the 'Student Housing Agreement' button 

Please note, you must submit the Student Housing Agreement before you can participate in any phase of the Housing Selection process. Your Student Housing Agreement is not considered executed until you have been assigned on-campus housing.

 

Housing Selection for current students is held online in three phases.

 

Same Space Selection

  • Current Apartment residents will be able to sign-up for their same space, or apartment space. For example, resident of Monagan 200B will only be permitted to select Monagan 200B.  If a different room (within suite/apartment) is preferred, a room change email submission is required within 24 hours of submitting your same space selection.
  • Current residents of Residential Learning Communities and designated First and Second Year buildings, will not be able to select their same space.

 Roommate Pull-In 

  • Residents who signed up for their same space will be able to pull-in roommate(s). 
  • Pull-in roommates need to qualify for the spaces into which they are being pulled. Pull-in roommates can include current on-campus residents or off-campus students. Please note that off campus students will need to submit an Off-Campus Housing Priority Form and electronically sign their Student Housing Agreement before being able to join this process.
  • All residents must submit the Student Housing Agreement online before being eligible to be pulled-in.        
  • All desired roommates must provide the current resident (resident who is eligible to pull-in roommates) with their and Meal Plan Selection

Open Space Selection    

  • Open Space Selection is available to all current residents and all other students interested in applying for open spaces in the apartments and residence halls.  
  • Students must qualify for the spaces which they are requesting.
  • Pull-in roommates need to qualify for the spaces into which they are being pulled. Pull-in roommates can include current on-campus residents or off-campus students.  Please note that off campus students will need to submit an Off-Campus Housing Priority Form and electronically sign their Student Housing Agreement before being able to join this process.
  • New requests for Gender Inclusive Housing require approval and designating Residential Life & Housing as your Proxy.

University-owned Greek Housing Selection       

  • All residents must submit the Student Housing Agreement online before being eligible to be assigned to a Greek Facility. 
  • Once verified students will be emailed information on how to complete the Housing Selection Process online or through their chapter.

Off-Campus Student Selection 

  • All student currently living off campus must submit the Off-Campus Housing Priority Form and complete their Student Housing Agreement online before being eligible to participate in room selection.

Additional Forms

  • Single Room Request
    • Students requesting a single room as an accommodation must register with Services for Students with Disabilities Office for requests to be considered.
  • Living at Home
    • Students wishing to be exempt from the Resident's Residency Requirement and live at home during their first 4 semesters on campus must complete this form and provide all the necessary documentation for consideration.
  • Petition Request
    • Student wishing to petition the Resident's Residency Requirement or meal plan must review and complete the Petition Request form.  Petitions without additional Medical, Financial, Official or other documentation will not be accepted.
  • Gender Inclusive Housing 
    • Students wishing to be considered for Gender Inclusive Housing must complete all the required forms and documentation before being considered.  Students wishing to form roommate groups must submit their applications together.
  • Off-Campus Housing Priority
    • Current Pacific students, who are living off-campus and are interested in living on-campus must complete the Off-Campus Housing Priority form so we may generate a priority letter and send it to you. You will then be able to participate in the roommate pull-in or open space stages of Housing Selection.
