Composer-in-residence Carolyn Kendrick
Carolyn Kendrick will be the Conservatory's composer in residence in September 2023. An eclectic and virtuosic instrumentalist, she is a fiddler, singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer, composer, and most recently, a a solo artist.

Welcome Professor Robin Fisher
We are excited to introduce Robin Fisher as Professor of Practice in Voice. An accomplished soprano, an educator and a published author, she has performed in Europe and the U.S. Her students are active performers and teachers in major metropolitan centers in the U.S. and abroad.

We are excited to introduce Andrew Mell as Director of Operations and Assistant Professor of Practice in Jazz and Music Industry Studies. His experience in many facets of the music industry will advance professional activities in recording and music media production at the Conservatory.
Welcome Dr. Sonia Gaind-Krishnan
We are excited to introduce ethnomusicologist Sonia Gaind-Krishnan as Visiting Lecturer for Music History in 2023-24. Her areas of research cover diverse aspects of music and sound across multicultural demographics.

Academic Advising and Support
Advising in the Conservatory is a personalized mentoring experience through which faculty guide students to explore their musical and intellectual interests, learn the requirements for degree completion and discuss life after graduation.
In the Conservatory, a First Year Faculty Advisor is the first point of contact. A student will have multiple individual meetings beginning at Orientation and continuing throughout the year. Advising activities and support are incorporated through the first year Dean’s Seminar and other courses.
Members of the student’s advising network include Program Directors, Student Support Services Coordinator, Care Managers, and Career Advisors. After the first year, students change to an advisor who is a faculty member closely related to the chosen major.
