Chartwell Teaching Institute (CTI) is a professional development organization that provides evidence-based training for educators, with a focus on Structured Literacy and the Science of Reading to support students with learning differences, including dyslexia. CTI’s core offering is an International Dyslexia Association (IDA) accredited week-long structured literacy course for elementary and secondary teachers, complemented by additional workshops on executive functioning, assistive technology and social-emotional learning, all grounded in current brain research and in diagnostic, explicit instructional practices.
Join us for an engaging 90-minute information session specifically designed for administrators and district and county leaders to explore how to build a successful partnership with the Chartwell Teaching Institute (CTI) through University of the Pacific.
In this session, Director Jodi Amaditz and Trainer Molly Bricker will share the rich history and mission of the CTI program, alongside its comprehensive course offerings. CTI is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) at the Accredited Level for its alignment with the Science of Reading, Structured Literacy and the IDA Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading. Their approved IDA course consists of 42 hours of instruction. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion approved by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA).

Meet the Instructors
Jodi Amaditz
Jodi Amaditz is the Director of Teaching and Learning at Chartwell School. She holds a master's degree as a Reading Specialist from Columbia University Teachers College. She taught as a learning specialist in New York City and then as an ELA and Reading Specialist in a Westchester public middle school. Jodi is a certified Orton-Gillingham classroom educator and has trained in multiple structured literacy programs. Currently, Jodi is the coordinator for Chartwell’s UCSF Dyslexia Center Phenotyping partnership and supports the Multitudes Early Reading Screener team. She is the co-director of Chartwell’s Teacher Training Institute, accredited by the International Dyslexia Association. She partners with school districts to provide workshops on the science of reading and to train teachers to develop their literacy programs and practices.
Molly Bricker
Molly Bricker is a former classroom teacher who now trains teachers in structured literacy through the Chartwell Teaching Institute. Additionally, Molly runs her own educational therapy practice in Los Angeles. Molly is an associate with the Association of Educational Therapists and the Orton-Gillingham Academy. She is also working to become an Orton-Gillingham Fellow.
