Birding 101—Continued

This class will cover intermediate birding subject matter, but beginners are welcome. David will help you appreciate, enjoy and identify our fine-feathered friends. Content will be new and current for those that have taken the class before. Learn about topics such a migration-timing, habitat usage and what you can expect to see at the time of the class.

 

Growing Food: Nourishing People and Planet

Date: Thursday, Oct. 3–17

Time: 10–11:30 a.m.

Location: Robb Garden

Fee: $25 (3 sessions)

Instructor: Janice Setser, Horticulturalist/Garden Coach 

Mingle and hear tips from other gardener enthusiasts as we explore basic vegetable and herb planting and growing techniques. Members will get a jump on the season with starts to take home. We will hold discussions on seed planting, transplanting, soil, compost, and pollinators, as well as familiar ourselves with the language of sustainable farming practices.
