Each year, students, residents, faculty and staff gather for a celebration of research, clinical cases and community service achievements at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Excellence Day is a long-standing tradition that allows the school community to share their projects with colleagues, friends, alumni and special guests. The event features poster presentations, case presentations with patients, a keynote speaker and more!
Schedule
- 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Keynote Speaker (Dorfman Hall) – Dr. John Featherstone, From Chemistry to Innovative Clinical Reality
Dean Emeritus and Professor Emeritus of UCSF School of Dentistry, Dr. Featherstone’s research over 50+ years has covered aspects of cariology (study of tooth decay). He was one of the scientists who established how fluoride really works, and was a pioneer in research on laser interactions with hard tissues. He spearheaded development of CAMBRA® (caries management by risk assessment) at UCSF and its clinical implementation over 20 years.
- 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Poster presentations, patient case presentations and faculty judging (2nd Floor Clinical Spaces)
