Keeping Your Restorations and Reputation Intact
Failure visits dental practices in many forms and on many materials. In this program, Dr. Melkers will explore factors that jeopardize success and strategies that practitioners might use to solve them.
Occlusion. It can be one of the driest and most confusing subjects. It is however one of the most, if not the most, critical aspects of diagnosis and treatment planning when it comes to the longevity of restorative dentistry we provide our patients. During this interactive lecture, Dr. Melkers will lead a conversation and exploration of our profession’s history, current state of knowledge regarding occlusion and unsolved mysteries. During the program, real-world case applications will be used to reinforce concepts and theories. This is the first time this course will be presented in the Bay Area.
You Will Learn
- To recognize critical parafunctional red flags and why they matter
- To appreciate the balance between function, parafunction and aesthetics
- To manage destructive forces in restorative dentistry
- To examine case applications from single-tooth to full-mouth rehabilitation
