In this program, Dr. Melkers will explore factors that jeopardize success and strategies that practitioners might use to solve them.  Occlusion. It can be one of the driest and most confusing subjects. It is however one of the most, if not the most, critical aspects of diagnosis and treatment planning when it comes to the longevity of restorative dentistry we provide our patients. During this interactive lecture, Dr. Melkers will lead a conversation and exploration of our profession’s history, current state of knowledge regarding occlusion and unsolved mysteries. During the program, real-world case applications will be used to reinforce concepts and theories. This is the first time this course will be presented in the Bay Area. Faculty Michael J. Melkers, DDS, is a 1994 graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry and currently serves as a visiting faculty member at The Pankey Institute. He also serves as the director of educator development for RIPEGlobal.
