Reframe The Narrative: A 1619 Project Film Screening & Discussion
Join us for a powerful screening and discussion of The 1619 Project, the groundbreaking docuseries based on the award-winning work of Nikole Hannah-Jones. This series re-examines the legacy of slavery in the United States and reframes American history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of Black Americans at the center of the national narrative. Following the screening, we’ll host a guided dialogue exploring key themes including race, democracy, identity, systemic injustice, and historical memory. This is a space for reflection, conversation, and critical engagement with the histories that continue to shape our present.
