About the Certification of Finances

All international applicants requiring F1 visas are required to demonstrate sufficient financial resources to cover the estimated cost of attendance for one academic year. Financial documents will be collected after international students are offered admission to the university. Acceptable forms of evidence include:

• Family bank statements

• Documentation from a sponsor

• Financial aid letters

• Scholarship letters

• Letter from an employer showing annual salary

Financial documents should show conversion of total amount to US dollars. The university will not be able to provide your I-20 (the SEVIS record required to apply for your F-1 visa) until the Certification of Finances is received.
