University of the Pacific to provide free hearing screenings

MEDIA ADVISORY

What: University of the Pacific’s Hearing and Balance Center is offering free hearing screenings for the community.

Screenings will be provided by graduate students in Pacific’s Doctor of Audiology program under faculty supervision. Individuals and families will have the opportunity to receive screenings, consultations regarding follow-up tests and recommendations for managing hearing loss. 

Registration is highly recommended and can be made online. The Rotary Club of Stockton and Stanford Medicine are helping to sponsor the event.

Who Should Come?
• Individuals ages five and up
• Those experiencing muffled sounds or difficulty following conversations
• Families wanting to ensure the hearing health of their loved ones
• Seniors with hearing concerns or difficulties
• Anyone who has a history of loud noise exposure, such as loud music, firearms or
working around loud noise

When: Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Chan Family Health Sciences Learning Center at University of the Pacific
757 Brookside Road, Stockton, California (Building 178 on campus map).
Free parking is available in front of the building.

Additional information: Media covering the event are welcome to take photos and video of
faculty and students but must obtain consent from patients.
