Please join the California Lawyers Association’s New Lawyers Section in a virtual fireside conversation with Ashley Silva-Guzman ‘21, Chair of the State Bar of California Committee of Bar Examiners. The program will explore the role and responsibilities of the Committee of Bar Examiners, lessons learned from public service and participation in legal institutions, and the value of bringing diverse professional and personal perspectives to decision-making. Silva-Guzman will also discuss the current opportunity for newer lawyers and lawyers from historically underrepresented communities and regions, to become involved in the State Bar’s committees and other leadership roles and to help shape the future of California’s legal profession.

The conversation will be moderated by Professor Lindsay Harrington ‘03, Director of Bar Support and Associate Professor of Law at the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. Professor Harrington leads the development and execution of McGeorge’s innovative bar support program, including their “Practical Analysis, Strategies, & Skills” (PASS) Courses. She also serves as a member of the California State Bar Law School Council.
