The Conservatory of Music presents a Pacific Opera Theatre's production of Gian Carlo Menotti's "The Medium." The main feature will be preceded by Samuel Barber's “A Hand of Bridge”—possibly the shortest one-act opera that is regularly performed (about nine minutes long).
Menotti’s “The Medium” tells the story of a fraudulent fortune teller Madame Flora who begins to believe that the spirits she claims to contact are actually real, causing her to spiral into confusion and madness.
James Haffner, stage director
Eric Dudley, music director
