The Conservatory of Music is excited to present Conductor-in-Residence Matilda Hofman. She will lead Pacific musicians in two concerts, October 9—Pacific Strings Orchestra, and November 8—Pacific Chamber Orchestra.

Hofman holds degrees from Cambridge University, the Royal Academy of Music (Viola Performance), and the Eastman School of Music (Conducting). She has conducted music ensembles throughout California and in Europe.

The October concert is a celebration of Pacific’s strings featuring works by Caroline Shaw and Jessie Montgomery, and concluding with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “Serenade for Strings.”
