Transgender Day of Remembrance
Transgender Day of Remembrance
08:30 a.m. - 05:00 p.m.
“Transgender Day of Remembrance seeks to highlight the losses we face due to anti-transgender bigotry and violence. I am no stranger to the need to fight for our rights, and the right to simply exist is first and foremost. With so many seeking to erase transgender people — sometimes in the most brutal ways possible — it is vitally important that those we lose are remembered, and that we continue to fight for justice.” Founder of TDOR, Gwendolyn Ann Smith
Drop by any time between 8:30am and 5:00pm on November 20, 2024 to pay respects to the lives lost in 2024 due to anti-transgender violence. There will be a remembrance wall as well as an area to write a few words. You are also welcome to bring any battery powered candles or flowers.
