Discover, create and thrive in the arts

The studio art major at Pacific develops both your creative vision and your ability to communicate ideas with impact. You’ll build your aesthetic understanding, visual perception and creative problem-solving skills, and develop a professional-level art portfolio.

Choose and apply your own artistic tools and technologies, including drawing, illustration, photography and multimedia that allow you to create and share compelling visual messages.

Hands-on experience

As a studio art student, you’ll build skills through hands-on courses in photography, video, drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture. These are complemented by the study of visual culture, art history and art theory, and culminate in a final exhibition of your artwork.
