AI in Oral Health Care: From Innovation to Access
Friday, January 16, 2026 • 8:30 am–6:00 pm
Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry
155 Fifth Street, San Francisco
Co-hosted by the Center for Innovation and Translation and the Pacific Center for Equity in Oral Health Care.
This symposium brings together industry partners, clinical leaders, researchers and educators to advance responsible, evidence-based AI in oral health and integrated medical-dental care. The program focuses on what it takes to move from promising tools to real-world impact: clinical workflow integration, implementation lessons, validation and trust, and workforce readiness.
Throughout the day, speakers will share applied examples from medical AI and dentistry, explore oral-systemic opportunities for whole-person care, and discuss how AI can improve access and outcomes across diverse communities.
Featuring:
- Keynote address by Dr. Ethan Goh (Stanford University School of Medicine) on the realities of AI adoption in healthcare
- Industry and clinical spotlights on AI in practice, diagnostics and decision support
- Faculty perspectives on integrated care, equitable access and responsible innovation at Dugoni
- Panels on translating medical AI to dentistry (tools to clinical systems), trust and readiness for clinical use and scaling from pilots to sustained practice in oral health care
- Networking, lunch, social hour and guided tours of Dugoni’s clinical, simulation and innovation spaces
