Attention 1D, 2E, 2D and 3E students
The ABA Judicial Clerkship Program is set to take place from Jan. 28–30, 2027 in Chicago, Illinois and the CSO wants to send you! We are hosting an Intro to the ABA JCP to give you all the information needed to get you there.
For the past 26 years, the ABA Judicial Clerkship Program (JCP) has connected law students with judges and judicial clerks from across the country. Presented jointly by the ABA Council for Diversity in the Educational Pipeline and the ABA Judicial Division, the program was established to increase awareness of judicial clerkships and expand access to one of the legal profession's most valuable professional development opportunities. The impact of the Judicial Clerkship Program extends far beyond the ABA Midyear Conference. Participants leave the program with:
- Increased knowledge of judicial clerkships
- Stronger research and writing skills
- Expanded professional networks
- Mentorship opportunities
- Greater confidence pursuing clerkships and leadership roles within the legal profession
Many participants continue to engage with judges, mentors, and fellow students after the program, while others go on to secure judicial clerkships, public service positions, and leadership roles throughout the legal profession.
The CSO will be sending instructions on how to participate soon. Keep a lookout for the ABA Judicial Clerkship Program email!
