The Conservatory of Music at University of the Pacific invites you to participate in a Pacific Woodwind Day. In 2027, we offer two separate woodwind experiences, for middle school students on January 31 and for high school students on February 7

This one-day festival is designed to inspire, motivate, and elevate your musicianship through hands-on workshops, master classes, ensemble rehearsals, and performances with Pacific’s distinguished woodwind faculty. Participants will have the opportunity to make music with fellow woodwind musicians, explore the Conservatory, and connect with Pacific’s students and faculty.

Middle School Woodwind Day

What to expect

Tone and technique workshops with Pacific faculty
Opportunities to shop for instruments, accessories and sheet music
A collaborative woodwind choir performance featuring a composition by Professor Andrew Conklin
Participation in a culminating, public recital

8:30–9 am	Check-in
9–10:15 am	Instrumental sectional with woodwind faculty
10:30–11:45 am	Full woodwind ensemble rehearsal
12–1 pm	Lunch and visit our vendor Got-A-Gig
1:15–2:15 pm	Individual instrumental workshop/master classes with faculty
2:30–3 pm	Visit vendors
3 pm	Woodwind ensemble dress rehearsal
3:15 pm	Ending concert

1:15 pm	Woodwind ensemble dress rehearsal
1:30 pm	Pacific Woodwind Day's ending concert
