Eric Chapman

Meet Eric Chapman:

Chapman joins McGeorge as a Research and Instructional Services librarian. In this role, he will lead the library’s research support services for faculty and students, including assistance in foreign and international law, provide legal research instruction, and create and maintain legal research guides.

"My time at McGeorge has been fulfilling, from helping students develop their research skills to developing a more approachable online presence for the law library," Chapman said. "I have especially appreciated working alongside welcoming, supportive colleagues and having the opportunity to pursue my professional interests both within the school and across the law library profession."

For three years, Chapman was the Assistant Pasadena Branch Librarian for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to his work with the court, he practiced as a civil defense litigator in Washington for three years and spent two years serving as a judicial law clerk in Alaska’s trial courts.

Chapman earned his J.D., along with a certificate in Intellectual Property Law, from Lewis & Clark Law School, and his Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington, where he specialized in law librarianship.
