New and Recent Academic Program Approvals and Changes

The Board of Regents approved the new Master of Science in Cybersecurity program, Pacific's newest graduate program, at its February meeting in San Francisco. Offered on the Stockton campus by the School of Engineering and Computer Science, this 1-2 year program will prepare students to help protect businesses, governments, and private citizens against cyber crimes and threats such as corporate and government espionage, banking and financial fraud, identity theft, and more. Applications are being accepted for Fall 2017.

MS Analytics Name Change
In January, the Academic Council (AC) Academic Affairs Committee on Graduate Studies approved a name change for the Master of Science in Analytics program. The new program name will be Master of Data Science, and will apply to entering and graduating students starting Fall 2017.

Sacramento MBA Discontinued
The Eberhardt School of Business has decided to discontinue the part-time MBA program it offered on the Sacramento Campus due to low enrollment and demand. The current cohort will be taught out to completion but the program is closed to new enrollments.

MA in Music Therapy Coming to San Francisco
The Conservatory of Music has received approval to offer a Master of Arts in Music Therapy on the San Francisco campus. This is the same program the Conservatory offers on the Stockton campus. As a result, the Conservatory will no longer offer its Music Therapy Equivalency Program on the San Francisco campus.
