What to expect

Pitch submissions are reviewed by a panel of judges. Top contenders will be notified in advance and invited to deliver an in-person pitch at the PIES event. The best projects will be awarded.


Pitch evaluation framework

  • Market Opportunity - Clear, well-researched problem or opportunity with a defined target audience and strong market understanding.

  • Innovation & Impact - Original or improved solution with clear value and potential for meaningful social, environmental, or economic impact.
  • Feasibility & Execution - Technically sound and realistic solution with a well-developed prototype or clearly demonstrated core functions.
  • Pitch Delivery - Well-structured and engaging presentation.

Upload your recorded pitch video or provide a link to it.  

To participate in the PIES Pitch Competition, each team must pre-record their pitch (e.g., using Zoom or the library green room). 

  • Maximum video length: 5 minutes  
  • Submission: Submissions are not currently open. 

The top three teams will be selected and invited to present their pitch live at the PIES Festival.
