Why Homecoming is always on my calendar (and should be on yours!): A message from your Pacific Alumni Association President

2025-2026 President of the Pacific Alumni Association, Pamela Gibbs '92 COP.
I am deeply honored to serve as the new president of the Pacific Alumni Association, and I'm thrilled to share why Homecoming is always a highlight for me, and why it should be for you, too!
Pacific is truly a special place. It's where many of us found inspiration, forged lasting friendships, and discovered the passion to grow, excel and serve. Last October, our beautiful Stockton campus buzzed with energy during Homecoming and Family Weekend, as thousands of alumni and friends reconnected with the University of the Pacific. Make plans now to join us for this year’s Homecoming and Family Weekend, October 10-12. It's an experience you won't want to miss!
Your alumni association has been busy! A major highlight was celebrating our 60th Distinguished Alumni Awards in March. We honored five exceptional Pacificans: Ron Berberian ’65 BUS (Medallion of Excellence), Jie Du ’90, ’94 PHS (Professional Service), Calvester Stanley ’79 COP (Public Service), Robert Hanyak ’79 COP (University Service) and Halima Lucas ’13 COP (Outstanding Young Alumni). It was an inspiring evening recognizing their incredible accomplishments.
We're planning even more exciting events to bring our alumni community together. To learn more and see what's coming up, please visit: https://www.pacific.edu/alumni/events.
On July 1st, we welcomed five new members to our Pacific Alumni Association Board of Directors: Jeff F. Agnew III '84, Georgette Hunefeld '90, Allison Jones '14, Gerry Latasa '10, '13 and Bonnie Morehead '76, '79. I'm also joined by our dedicated officers: Immediate Past-President Joshua Foster '08; President-Elect Fabian Morales Medina '04; and Vice Presidents Heidi Gleason-Doyle '78, Barry Harper '66, Jillian Hall-LaBella '13, Leah Glenn '10, '13, Brian Biedermann '04 and Francesca DeMello '85. I look forward to serving alongside this committed group of Pacificans.
University of the Pacific wants you to stay engaged as we continue to build on our successes. There are many ways to get involved: serve on the alumni board, volunteer for regional and affinity alumni chapters, mentor students, donate to your favorite fund or program, or simply attend alumni events on one of our three campuses. To learn more about how you can connect, email pacificalumni@pacific.edu.
Thank you for your support, and I look forward to reuniting with you at Homecoming in October.
Go Tigers!
